Don't forget to listen to the
German Radio Program
FM 96.1 and 92.1
(Every Sunday 9am - 10am) We are still searching for that radio presenter for the
German Hour on a regular basis
This is your
chance to learn something new and at the same time bring
pleasure to your community.
Dedicate about
2 hours of your time every week to the preparation of and
the live presentation of the German Hour on Hobart FM,
Sundays from 9-10 am. Preparation: 1-2 hours and live
presentation on air 1 hour.
The program
will be 80-90% music of your choice and community news 10 –
20% which includes birthday greetings, Club news and
anything else that is happening that week or in the near
future.
If you find an
interesting short article of interest – then include that
also.
Make it YOUR
program – YOUR STYLE.
The amount of
spoken word is minimal, so no need to stress about “my
German is not good enough.”If you type everything up and print it off, then it
is only a matter of reading it out.Nice and easy.
Full training
will be given by the radio station and assistance will be
available.You
will NOT be alone.
The perfect
arrangement would be a team of 3 people so that a rotating
roster would be in place.
Make 2025 the
year that you become a local broadcaster.It not only gives
you a good feeling to know that you are bringing a little
joy to listeners, but you are also helping your community.

situated in Glenorchy, 10 minutes drive north of Hobart

Follow the Brooker Highway from
Hobart and turn left at the Elwick lights. Continue over
the train lines through 2 roundabouts and left into
Bowden Street.
The bar is open on Thursdays 3pm til 6pm -
bar snacks around 4pm
Bring a friend or just drop in for a chat, a drink and a
snack
it's a great atmosphere!
The bar
is also open on the first Sunday of each month 12-2 pm
when we have our Schnitzelessen

$25 per year, and due for each financial year in
July (early payment in May or June is appreciated).
